UNICA-IAU Master Class on Internationalization of HE

What does it mean to be a Vice-Rector for Internationalization in today's moving world?

In the era of globalization, internationalization of higher education has become inevitable. Institutions develop deliberate internationalization strategies to improve the quality of education, research and service to society. This requires the full engagement of the academic leadership as it is gaining increasing relevance in the strategic decision-making process.

The Master class combines keynote presentations by international experts with interactive group sessions in which participants discuss real-life case studies and share their experience. The program is enriched with stimulating exercises (intervision, speaker's corner) and complemented by time for self-reflection and networking.

UNICA and the International Association of Universities (IAU) have launched their first joint Master Class on internationalization of Higher Education in 2019. Following the success of the first edition, a second edition will take place in 2021 and the Master Class will become an annual initiative starting in 2022.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Vice-Presidents /Vice-Rectors for internationalization, or academic leaders involved in internationalisation policies/strategies.
