INENTER: New project for cooperation between academia and enterprises
The UNICA Network of Universities of the Capitals of Europe and its partner organisations are proud to announce that the project submitted under the Erasmus call for the Co-operation between Higher Education Institutions and Enterprises, has been officially granted the approval of the European Commission and has started since 1 October 2010.
The project entitled “INENTER: Improving the Placements and Internships from Academia to Enterprises” (509962-LLP-1-2010-1-CY-ERASMUS-ECUE), runs for two years with a total budget of €390.943. The project consortium is comprised by 13 organizations from 10 different countries, namely, University of Cyprus (CY) (coordinating organization), Network of Universities of the Capitals of Europe-UNICA (BE), Tallinn University (EE), Vilnius University (LT), Universite Libre de Bruxelles (BE), Univ. Of Warsaw (PL), University of Vienna (AT), University of Latvia (LV), European Association of Erasmus Coordinators-EAEC (CY), Chambre de Commerce & d' Industrie du Paris (FR), EUE-net / MAC Team (BE), Université de Lausanne (CH),University of Zagreb (HR).
Overall, INENTER aims to develop and apply a medium – long term quality strategy aiming at identifying needs, raising awareness, and introducing and developing actions, models, measures, tools and good practices regarding the internships and placements of students of all levels in industry and enterprises. The partnership aims in developing a methodology and tools for measuring the quality in such activities.
The project aspires to attain a better and stronger communication and cooperation between Enterprises and Academia, with emphasis on placement of students in industry, as well as developing cooperation of research activity of postgraduate students that could involve enterprises.
Main activities include a European survey, round-table discussions between academia representatives and enterprises, development of a related training course for coordinators, career and placement officers and managers and a European placement conference.
