The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), in collaboration with the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOIUNA Italy) and the Students’ Movement for International Organization (MSOI/UNYA-Italy) launches its flagship international model UN conference this year. WIMUN 2014 will take place at the FAO headquarters in ROME, ITALY Monday 30 JUNE to Friday 4 JULY 2014. Model United Nations (MUN) is a tool to educate young people about international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations system.
WIMUN is an intellectual and social UN workshop and conference that brings together an assortment of young minds from around the world to engage in cultural exchange and gain first-hand experience of negotiating processes by playing the role of diplomats for one week. Its main purpose is to provide students and young professionals with the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the UN system, while enhancing the awareness of the most relevant international issues and contributing to advance feasible and innovative proposals for action.
