Have your say: the EAIE Barometer 2026 is open!

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) has launched the survey for the fourth edition of the EAIE Barometer, a major study examining the experiences, perspectives and working realities of professionals in international higher education across the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
The Barometer provides a snapshot of how professionals working in the field experience their roles and the wider international higher education landscape, helping to identify key trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the sector. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of the realities of international higher education and inform conversations about its future.
Importantly, this is not a ‘one survey per institution’ exercise. The EAIE is looking for individual responses that reflect participants’ own experiences and perceptions. Professionals working in international higher education are therefore encouraged to take part personally, even if colleagues from the same institution are also completing the survey.
As a thank you for participating, respondents will have the opportunity to win a range of prizes, including a fee waiver for the 2027 EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Lisbon, an invitation to the EAIE President’s Reception, free EAIE membership for 2027 and a training fee waiver.
Professionals working in international higher education in the EHEA are invited to complete the survey here by Friday 13 November 2026.
