The UNICA Days, launched in 2024, mark a significant milestone in the UNICA network’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the future of Europe’s Higher Education and Research. This flagship event is designed to bring together, in Brussels, the entire UNICA community, along with key stakeholders, governing decision bodies, experts, and peer organizations from across the sector, offering a dynamic platform for deep engagement, collaboration, and forward-thinking discussions.

Objectives

Based on the principles of collective approach and open dialogue, the event features a comprehensive program that aims to:

Strengthen connections within the UNICA network and with external partners;
Explore ways to enhance democracy and societal resilience through education and research;
Collaboratively address the evolving needs of the Higher Education and Research sector and reflect on innovative strategies that engage diverse stakeholders in a cross-actor exercise;
Reinforce the role of capital-based universities in sectoral development and societal progress.

Outcomes

The outcomes of each edition of the UNICA Days intend to foster a resilient and responsive future for Higher Education and Research, ensuring it meets the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing landscape.
