UNICA’s Steering Committee 2025-2027: meet the newly elected members

UNICA is proud to announce the members of the network’s Steering Committee, following elections on Thursday, 19 June 2025, during the annual General Assembly at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

Meet the newly elected members (click on the names to visit the profile of each member and learn more about their work):

• Edith BUSER, Deputy Director for Research, Ecole des Arts décoratifs-PSL, Paris Sciences et Lettres University (PSL)
• Julio CAÑERO SERRANO, Vice-President for International Relations, University of Alcalá
• Dimitrios KARADIMAS, Rectors’ Delegate for UNICA and former Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
• Ksenija VIDMAR HORVAT, Vice-Rector for Study and Student Affairs, University of Ljubljana
• Anne WEYEMBERGH, Vice Rector for External Relations and Development Cooperation, Université libre de Bruxelles

Elena AVGOUSTIDOU-KYRIACOU, Director of the International Relations Service of the University of Cyprus (UCY), also joins the group as IRO Observer to the Steering Committee, following elections by the members of the IRO group.

About the UNICA Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is the executive body of the Association: it meets four to five times per year and manages the activities of the Association, consults member universities regularly and is responsible for the implementation of the decisions of the General Assembly.

The Steering Committee is composed of the President and five persons elected by the General Assembly, who must be engaged in the higher management of a member university on the day of their election.
