CALOHEE Reference Frameworks with little adjustments despite the pandemic

A first inventory of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the CALOHEE Reference Frameworks show that no serious adjustments are required. It has been concluded by the CALOHEE experts that the indicators and descriptors as included in the frameworks are offering a good basis for different types of formats and modes of learning.

This does not imply that traditional face-to-face learning will not be affected. It is expected that hybrid learning will grow in importance also to prepare graduates better for a workplace that is expected to become more flexible.

Although the frameworks might be sufficiently robust, according to the CALOHEE expert groups methodologies and approaches regarding learning, teaching and assessment have to take the present experience of the pandemic into account. It evidences further the relevance of student-centred and active learning in the world of today and tomorrow.
