Initially, the platform focused mainly on the discussion and exchange of practices related to the implementation of environmental sustainability strategies at universities. Recently, the group started widening its activities to meet the comprehensive concept of Sustainability conceived by the United Nations which, besides environmental policies, also includes development strategies.
The activities of the Group include sharing experiences on strategic tools, environmental management systems, and good practices related to the day-to-day work of a sustainable management office, student involvement, and outreach. The annual UNICA Green & SDGs Workshop gathers Vice-Rectors responsible for the implementation of institutional sustainability strategy from UNICA member universities, Sustainability/ Environmental coordinators, as well as representatives of UNICA Green & SDGs, peer networks, governmental bodies, and city authorities.
Join now the UNICA Green and SDGs LinkedIn Group to exchange ideas, articles and events among UNICA member universities.
