EC launches new Erasmus+ pilot call to test instruments to facilitate deeper transnational cooperation between universities in Europe

The European Commission launched on 16 June a new Erasmus+ call for proposals to pilot a joint European degree label and test institutionalised EU cooperation instruments, such as a possible European legal status for alliances.

These voluntary initiatives, for any type of alliances of higher education institutions, aim to facilitate deeper transnational cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe. The outcomes of the pilots will then be discussed with the Council that will decide on the way forward.

Partnerships between higher education actors and relevant national, regional and/or institutional authorities are invited to apply. The call for proposals has a total budget of EUR 2 million. The deadline for applications’ submission is 6 October.

An online information session for applicants is planned on 28 June (10.30 – 12.30 CET).
