Stockholm University shares publication on “Academic Leadership in Times of Transformation”, an anthology with perspectives from Sweden and the United States

A three year project focused on innovation and leadership in higher education has resulted in an anthology on how universities do, can and should respond to societal challenges and digital transformation. The CALIE-project is a project involving UNICA member Stockholm University and other Swedish universities, namely Lund University, University of Gothenburg and Uppsala University.  Together with three partners in the United States; the University of California Berkeley, Stanford University, and the University of Washington, the universities have exchanged experiences and strategies to inspire innovative ways to improve the quality of education. The project is funded by Sweden’s Innovation Agency Vinnova and the four Swedish universities. With examples from both countries, the anthology addresses the drivers of change within a university for renewal of education and how strategic choices can be anchored with respect of academic freedom. Read the anthology now.

The CALIE-project is also organising a conference; Academic Leadership & Strategic Renewal of Education in Challenging Times. The conference will be held digitally on 18–19 May 2021. Please see full programme and register here.
