The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy. This year’s edition will take place on 10 – 13 October.
The EURegionsWeek aims at promoting a dialogue about common challenges for Europe’s regions and cities and examining possible solutions, it provides a platform to exchange experiences and good practices, moreover feeds into the debate on EU cohesion policy in a wider context, including recent research and views from third countries and international organisations.
This year’s edition will focus on:
- Green transition
- Territorial Cohesion
- Digital transition
- Youth empowerment

Knowledge Valorisation session by DG RTD at the EURegionsWeek
As part of the EURegionsWeek, DG Research & Innovation – Valorisation Policies and Intellectual Property Rights (Unit E.2) organises a session on ‘Knowledge valorisation – A new opportunity for territorial cohesion.”
Along other activities, UNICA looks forward to attending this session, as it will demonstrate knowledge valorisation tools that are applied at regional level. It will demonstrate how collaborations between industry-academia and local communities can take place at regional level and how knowledge valorisation tools can be used to engage citizens in participatory innovation.
