UNEP and Lonely Whale present “5 ways to effectively engage young environmental leaders”

UNEP’s Tide Turner Programme, in collaboration with Lonely Whale, just published “5 ways to effectively engage young environmental leaders: Turning the tide on youthwashing“.

The guide collects insights from more than 600 young leaders across 67 countries and aims to be a guide for adult decision-makers about youth expectations and key principles for the meaningful engagement of younger generations. As mentioned in the publication, “Government officials have the responsibility to listen to the voices of young people within their communities and carry out their civic duty by ensuring actions and endorsement are informed by the demands of their younger constituents“.

The publications collect five recommendations aiming at giving more space to youth in critical policy discussions and decision-making processes within the adult-led arena, because if it is true that today younger people constitute only 25% of the population, soon it will become 100% of it!

Read now “5 ways to effectively engage young environmental leaders” and share it with your colleagues.
