Unlocking Innovation in Prague: Discover TAH – Centre for Innovations in Technology, Art, and Humanities and the TAH Impact Academy

Charles University Prague invites you to discover TAH – Centre for Innovations in Technology, Art, and Humanities, a creative and innovation centre that aims to support interdisciplinary collaboration in the fields of new technologies, arts, design, humanities, and social sciences across regions in the Czech Republic. With a transdisciplinary mindset, the centre develops activities with the goals of contributing to addressing societal challenges, being a partner in shaping public policies, and participating in the development of education and research. It results of the collaboration of nearly thirty research institutions, including Charles University Prague.

The TAH Center was launched in spring 2023 by experts from the arts and research sectors who recognized the need to integrate technology, art, and the humanities to foster innovation and a sustainable creative economy. Its focus is on leveraging emerging technologies—like AI, robotics, VR, and synthetic media—through interdisciplinary collaboration rooted in evidence-based approaches, aiming for just and positive societal impact.

According to the centre’s website, the Czech word “tah” reflects its purpose: it means a strategic move, a brushstroke, a stage mechanism, and a pull forward, symbolizing creativity, transformation, and progress through collaboration.
