Student Housing
CasaSwap.com is a EU-supported international accommodation website, which seeks to solve the big housing problems encountered by both incoming and outgoing students and young people across Europe and beyond. The initiative is supported by SOCRATES program. The website is a full-scale international accommodation network for students, trainees, graduates, educational staff and youth in general, and consists of three different membership profiles:
- Swappers: Looking to exchange/swap accommodation
- Renters: Wants to rent accommodation
- HomeOwners: Offering/subletting accommodation (e.g. private landlords)
The UNICA Steering Committee recommends to make use of the CasaSwap website. Since accommodation is one of the biggest obstacles for international student mobility, we think the CasaSwap network is a valuable and much needed initiative. It only has a modest annual membership fee (between 15-30€, HomeOwner profile is still free!), in order to finance the continued expansion and improvement of the network.
The CasaSwap team is continually producing additional information material and they would be happy to send you more free material, whenever needed. We therefore recommend that you send an e-mail to info@casaswap.com if you have the need for more material.
