9th UNICA GREEN Workshop


The 9th UNICA GREEN Workshop: "Sustainable lifestyles - What role can universities play?" will be hosted by the University of Lausanne, 6-8 March 2019, and will focus on promoting sustainable lifestyles within university campuses. 

The Workshop will focus on the topic of lifestyles and behavior change in order to promote more sustainable lifestyle. Through best practice exchanges and practical workshops, participants will learn more about this topic and about tools to improve to everyday practices. This will also be the opportunity to host the "Green your University Award" ceremony.


TARGET AUDIENCE: The Workshop is mainly aimed at Sustainability/Environmental Coordinators and Vice-Rectors responsible for the implementation of institutional sustainability strategy from UNICA Member Universities and UNICA GREEN partner institutions.

Participants are kindly invited to fill out the workshop registration form and the form to choose one of the parallel sessions on 8 March and the options for the social programme

Deadline for submission of both forms: 28 February 2019.


PARTICIPATION FEES (for non-UNICA member universities only)

The participation is free of charge for:

  • Representatives of UNICA member universities
  • Speakers, Chairs, and Guest Exhibitors
  • Persons supporting the Workshop organisation (e.g. Workshop assistants, student volunteers)

Other participants:

  • General fee: Full workshop €150 / One day only: €75
  • Fee for students: Full workshop: €25 / One day only: €12,50


The invoice for the participation fee will be sent to you in a few days following the confirmation of your registration. Please make sure to transfer your participation fee indicating your last name in the transfer title before 20 February 2019. Your registration to the Workshop will be valid only if the fee is fully paid.



The University of Lausanne has kindly pre-booked a number of rooms for the participants in the hotels below for the following nights:

  • 6 to 7 March 2019
  • 7 to 8 March 2019

The participants should make their reservations directly to the hotels and ask specially if extra nights are needed.
