EduLAB meeting 2018


The 19th EduLAB meeting: The Role of Universities in developing human capital for a new economy will be hosted by the National Research University Higher School of Economics, 6-7 December 2018.


Target audience:

Vice-Rectors/Vice-Presidents Education, other representatives of academic leadership responsible for Education & Teaching, Deans, Coordinators of Study Programmes from UNICA Member Universities.


Programme overview:

The first day of the meeting (Thursday, 6 December 2018) will be held in parallel with eSTARS 2018 (eLearning Stakeholders and Researchers Summit 2018) and will be devoted to the transformations that universities are undergoing to integrate online teaching & learning in university education. UNICA Members are invited to share their experience during a separate EduLAB track and to participate in the main sessions of the eSTARS Conference.


The second day of EduLAB (Friday, 7 December 2018) will look at key aspects that ensure students' preparation for a successful career in the new digital economy, including thematic sections:

  • Teaching and Innovation: development of teaching methods and support for innovation, Teaching Excellence Centres, etc.
  • Student Experience: development of Soft Skills, Data Culture, Entrepreneurship, team work, conflict management, etc.
  • University Environment: internationalisation and development of universities' internal environment, including mechanisms for integrating international staff and students into educational and scientific activities, etc.
