The 28th UNICA General Assembly will be held at Comenius University in Bratislava as part of the University's 100th founding anniversary celebrations, 15-16 November 2018.

Session 1: WILL UNIVERSITIES OF TODAY SURVIVE NEXT 100 YEARS?
The role of universities 100 years ago, Will universities be a history in 100 years? What are the reasons why students go to university? From international universities in the past to national universities in the present to international universities in future…, What are the universities for? Will university study become a business selling education ? Universities based primarily on modern technology equipment or on university professors/leaders with passion ethical and moral qualities?
Session 2: WHAT, WHERE AND HOW SHALL WE TEACH & LEARN?
How life at the universities will look like in the future? Academic curricula from single subject teaching to multi-disciplinary teaching, traditional lecture based learning vs online learning. Are we on the right track using IT technology or will we turn back to traditional campuses? Will we have anyone to teach in 50 years? How university campuses will survive distant learning (MOOCs)?
