HousErasmus+ Survey & Call for Best Practices (update) : Help us improve student accommodation!

HousErasmus+ project invites IROs and students to take part in a consultation on accommodation for international students and trainees.

HousErasmus+ is a project funded under Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by the Erasmus Student Network, with UNICA, European University Foundation and Compostela Group of Universities as partners.

The project aims to identify the challenges international students and trainees face when they are looking for accommodation abroad. More about the project...

1. Surveys

UNICA would like to encourage IROs and Students to fill out the two following surveys:

If you have any questions related to the surveys, please do not hesitate to contact:

HousErasmus+ Survey for IROs

HousErasmus+ Survey for Students and Trainees

2. Call for best practices

UNICA Secretariat is still looking for good practices in the field of managing accommodation for international students. The good practices can be at any level and can involve any type of cooperation with other stakeholders:

  • partnership with Housing providers (whether private or public)
  • involvement of local NGOs in the process
  • agreements with Policy makers (Municipality, Region)
  • specific software or method to deal with accommodation requests, etc.

If your University has any best practice they would like to share, please send an email to Dominique Montagnese (UNICA Secretariat): by the end of this week Friday 08 April.

The HousErasmus+ consortium will organise 10 study visits in May - June and September 2016 to investigate more in depth the situation of accommodation in 10 representative cities. Interviews will be conducted with different stakeholders (IROs, Students, Policy Makers, Housing providers) to gather relevant data and experiences and bring a qualitative approach to the HousErasmus+ project.
