The UNICA BL meeting offered a unique opportunity to meet and exchange insights and ideas on the latest developments of the EHEA.

The following topics were discussed:

-       Building Bridges and overcoming differences: the methodology of the Be-twin ECTS and ECVET project.
UNICA is involved in the Be-twin project, a very challenging initiative coordinated by the Chambre de Commerce de Paris. Within this project, UNICA was responsible for the preparation of a methodology to link ECVET and ECTS credits. The methodology is already completed and we have the pleasure to provide you with the electronic publication in attachment. Ms Vera Statsna, UNICA expert from Charles University Prague, together with Prof. Arthur Mettinger, chair of the UNICA Bologna Lab, presented the Be-twin methodology at the UNICA BL meeting.

-       Lithuanian employers' view on competencies of higher education graduates in the context of European trends and findings: Prof. Arunas Poviliunas's presentation presented the findings of the national project coordinated by the University of Vilnius: “Development of the Concept of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) at the National Level: Harmonization of the Credit and Implementation of the Learning Outcomes Based Study Programme Design”.

-        Bologna and Mobility: The ministers responsible for higher education in 46 countries participating in the Bologna Process agreed in April 2009 in Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve that „In 2020, at least 20% of those graduating in the European Higher Education Area should have had a study or training period abroad“ . During the BL meeting in Vilnius the participants discussed what steps have been taken to reach this target at European, national, and institutional levels.

-       Higher Education Reform Expertise in the framework of the UNICA Conferences for Bologna and Tempus Experts: Speakers and Expertise providers

-     Student fees- is a European regulation possible?
