Every year since 1995, International Relations Officers (IROs) meetings bring together Heads and Senior Officers of International Relations Offices from UNICA Member Universities to share information and new approaches to internationalisation at universities.
The IRO meeting 2016 was hosted by the Centre for Advanced Academic Studies (CAAS) of the University of Zagreb in Dubrovnik, 26-27 April 2016.
The meeting discussions evolved around three main themes:
Beyond the checklist: Ensuring intercultural support (at the non-academic level) to incoming and outgoing students. Internationalisation at Home for non-academic staff: Does it work the same at institutions with centralised and decentralised IROffice? Good practices in ensuring international & intercultural experience for non-mobile students
Making the most of Erasmus+ KA2: Innovative projects that support the work of IROs.
