The Centre for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw (STUDIUM EUROPY WSCHODNIEJ UW) is organizing the WARSAW EAST EUROPEAN CONFERENCE, Eighth Annual Session, to be held in Warsaw, July 15-18, 2011.
THE PURPOSE and the main focus of the Eighth Warsaw East European Conference will be put on the two decades since 1991, which marked the demise of the Soviet Union.
The event will focus on the reality of post-communism and try to answer the question whether avowed purpose of creating democracy in the post-Soviet countries has transformed the way politics and society operate throughout the region.
