Conference Invitation: "Understanding Cells To Revolutionize Healthcare for Europe", Brussels (Royal Academy of Belgium), 3 September 2018

On 3 September 2018, the Royal Academy of Belgium will host a conference "Understanding Cells To Revolutionize Healthcare for Europe". The event is jointly organised by Institut Curie and the Max Delbrück Centre, in cooperation with the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the Helmholtz Association on behalf of the LifeTime Initiative.

Innovative technologies leading to early diagnosis and effective interception of diseases are a major step to fundamentally transform our understanding of life and the practice of medicine. The event will present the LifeTime Initiative vision of how developing strengths in single-cell-multi-omics technologies, advanced imaging, experimental disease models, data analysis and artificial intelligence and matching them with clinical resources can create an unmatched environment to:

  • accelerate discoveries,
  • drive development of new medicine,
  • foster the commercialization of new solutions,
  • benefit citizens and patients.
