Global Forum on Higher Education for Democratic Innovation, Queen’s University Belfast, 25-27 June, 2014

Global Forum on Higher Education for Democratic Innovation will be organized at Queen’s University Belfast on June 25 – 27, 2014 by the Council of Europe, the US Steering Committee of the International Consortium for Higher Education, Civic Responsibility and Democracy, Queen’s University and other partners.

The Forum builds on the conference on Reimagining Democratic Societies organized in 2011 with the University of Oslo, a UNICA member.

The formal invitation with a program for the conference and information on registration will be sent out about end of February, and there will be a conference website hosted by Queens University in Belfast for registration as well as information on the program and practical information.

Target audience: representatives of higher education institutions prepared to share and build on their experiences and projects in the field of democratic innovation and, more broadly, the role of higher education in building a culture of democracy.

The Organisers expect 100-150 participants: higher education leaders, representatives of public authorities, students.
