SERGOM - technical assistance team that provides a secretariat function and whose purpose is to increase the policy dialogue between the OCTs and the EU. The project team is looking for Communication Expert (Junior Expert).
Qualifications and skills
• University degree in a relevant field (economics, development, environment, business administration, etc.)
General professional experience
• Minimum 3, but preferably at least 5 years of experience in the coordination and management of aid programs, including mobilisation of technical assistance and the organisation of workshops and conference
• Experience with developing countries. Experience with small islands and OCTs would be of advantage.
Specific professional experience
• Experience with programme support, and in particular logistics for the organisation of technical assistance missions and workshops and conferences. Ability to prepare TORs and liaise with the Consultant and its event coordinator on all logistical issues
Proven experience with European Development Fund (EDF) procedures.
• Experience and good understanding of cooperation programmes, knowledge of major EU programmes would be an advantage
• Ability to translate professionally short documents from English into French and vice versa.
Good knowledge of communication tools and previous experience in the management of websites (updating contents), editing and publishing newsletters, etc.
