The Spring Campus Conference of the University Alliance for Sustainability: Moving Beyond the Ivory Tower: How do Science and Universities Contribute to the Sustainability Transformation? will take place at Freie Universität Berlin, 9-13 April 2018.
Following a 'whole institution' approach, the Spring Campus will bring together researchers, management staff, as well as doctoral candidates and students to contribute to the discussions. Coming from different disciplinary, professional and cultural backgrounds, the participants will share their perspectives on the critical impact that science and universities have on the global sustainability discourse.
The five Spring Campus workshops will showcase innovative sustainability research from various disciplines, facilitate inter- and transdisciplinary exchange and foster the dialogue with representatives from the city of Berlin and other public institutions. With the Conference, the Alliance aims to contribute to spreading innovative ideas, interesting research and sustainable campus solutions across the globe and to spark a multi-dimensional dialogue between all stakeholders on campus and beyond.
