******Update of 10 March: In less than one month after going online, the UNICA Summer & Winter Portal list nearly 100 programmes and has attracted over 2,500 visitors.

After several weeks of testing, UNICA launched its Summer & Winter Schools Portal in early February 2014. The website, available under two equivalent URLs http://unicasummerschools.eu/ and /www.unicawinterschools.eu/, features a search tool that allows prospective participants to browse through summer & winter school programmes offered by UNICA member universities and their partners.
The portal follows the initiative of the participants of the
1st UNICA Summer & Winter Schools Organisers meeting and aims to raise popularity of summer & winter schools organised by UNICA's 46 member universities among a broad international and diverse audience.
The visistors of the UNICA Summer & Winter Schools Portal can search for summer & winter programmes by location, topic area or starting date. The portal’s transparency and graphic design make it both easy and pleasant to browse through the offer. Apart from general information, it contains testimonials of students - previous participants, picture & video galleries and links to social media. At the moment the website lists more than 70 different programmes, among them art & design courses taking place at Tallinn University (e.g. Experimental Interaction Design and Digital Filmmaking), courses with an environmental focus by the University of Helsinki (Ecology and Management of Urban Green Space, Measuring and Valuing Ecosystem Services) and a multidispilinary Balkan Express Summer School offered by the University of Ljubljana.
