UNICA message following the attack in Berlin

On 19 December 2016, the city of Berlin was struck by an atrocious attack at a Christmas market that left 12 people killed and 48 injured.

UNICA President Prof. Luciano Saso, Members of the Steering Committee, and the staff of the UNICA Secretariat extend condolences to the families, relatives, and friends of those killed in the attack. We share the grief of and stand in solidarity with the communities of our two Berlin-based universities, Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.

While commemorating the memory of innocent victims of the Berlin attack, we do not forget about all those suffering from terrorism, violence and cruelty, whether in Berlin, Aleppo, Ankara, or elsewhere in the world.
