Warsaw students holding the Emerging Markets Business Conference, 4 July 2012

The Emerging Markets Business Conference will take place on 4 July 2012 in Warsaw (Warsaw Stock Exchange).

EMBC is the largest student conference in Central and Eastern Europe addressing issues related to emerging markets. It was initiated by the students of Warsaw School of Economics, in cooperation with the University of Warsaw and Cracow University of Economics. The event will bring together students from top Polish and foreign business schools (among others, from Brazil and Indonesia).

During the 1-day conference, the students will become acquainted with the economic characteristics of emerging markets - they will learn not only about the opportunities, but also about the risks and challenges that the dynamically developing countries will have to rise up to in the near future. Among the speakers,  Prof. Leszek Balcerowicz - former President of the National Bank of Poland, Prof. Witold Orlowski - economist, PwC adviser, Peter Smith - President of Fitch Poland, Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz - former prime minister and Goldman Sachs advisor, Artur Tomala - Director of Goldman Sachs in Poland, Marek Sawicki - partner of Cameron McKenna law firm , and many other eminent personalities from the science and business.

The conference will be the culmination of the Emerging Markets Business Summit project.
