Scholarly Communication

Established in 2001, the UNICA Scholarly Communication Group gathers Heads of Libraries and Senior Librarians from UNICA member universities. The Group aims to serve as a think tank on the evolution of the role of university libraries in educational processes and academic research and in the changing technological environment. Biennial Scholarly Communication Seminars are organised to share our Members’ experiences and to acknowledge the impact that the new scholarly communication management models have on our institutions.

The recommendations and the conclusions of the Seminars have been sent to the European Commission, to scientific and political authorities and to the UNICA members.
