UNICA Affiliations

UNICA is a collective associate member of European University Association (EUA). EUA supports over 850 member institutions in 47 countries. More on: www.eua.be

The EUA Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) is an independent service of EUA dedicated to doctoral education.  In the framework of its EUA-CDE membership, UNICA organises UNICA PhD Master Class.

UNICA is an affiliate member of Scholars At Risk Network (SAR), an international network of institutions and individuals working to promote academic freedom and to defend the human rights of scholars worldwide. 

Since June 2016, UNICA is a member of International Association of Universities (IAU), the UNESCO-based worldwide association of higher education institutions. IAU brings together 616 universities and 33 organisations from more than 130 countries worldwide to "act as the voice of higher education to UNESCO and other international higher education organizations, and provides a global forum for leaders of institutions and associations". Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation. Its mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students. ESN brings together 12.000 members from 441 local sections in 36 countries working on a volunteer base in Higher Education Institutions. It offers services to 160.000 students. More on: www.esn.org

Cercle international diplomatique et consulaire (International diplomatic and consular circle, CIDIC) is a Brussels-based association created in 2010 to support diplomats in establishing economic and academic contacts that are nowadays increasingly important in the fulfilment of their functions. UNICA is actively involved in CIDIC's Diplomatic, Economic and Academic (DEA) Missions to the countries presiding the Council of the European Union.

Debating Europe is an online platform launched by Friends of Europe and Europe’s World, in partnership with the European Parliament, Microsoft Europe, and Gallup.
