 INVITATION

Final Conference IMS 2020 Project “Is Internationalisation measurable?”
Monday, 16 September, 2013, 10:00-16:00
Venue: Charité Berlin, Lecture Hall of the Medical Clinic
Sauerbruchweg 2, Campus Charité Mitte

Keynote Lecture: Professor Antoine Flahault, Co-Chair of the Virchow-Villermé Centre for Public Health Paris-Berlin and Co-Founder of the European Academic Global Health Alliance.

The IMS 2020 Project (International Medical School 2020, funded under the EU Lifelong Learning Programme – Erasmus Structural Networks) envisages the creation of a structural network of medical faculties/schools in Europe (and beyond) that will study, learn from and act upon the impact ‘internationalisation’ has on the following three key issues related with the management and organisation of the institutions: - quality assurance mechanisms, - staff management & training and – autonomy and accountability.

The Final IMS 2020 project Conference will present a holistic approach to internationalisation, embracing the institutional, educational, research, students and staff dimensions, with a particular emphasis on the commitment to global health and academic social responsibility.
It will equally unveil the results of a 3-year IMS 2020 project, which involved the collection and analysis of data for over 100 indicators and site visits in 6 prestigious international medical schools in Europe.
